Gadgets outlive their cloud. I keep them running.
When a company switches its servers off, its hardware usually ends up in a drawer. I take it apart, work out how it runs, and write firmware that needs nobody's servers.

Terra Firmware
Replacement firmware for the Terrashroom TS-01 mushroom chamber. Terrashroom shut its cloud down in June 2025 and left about a thousand chambers without an app. This puts the grow back on the chamber itself.
In testing -
Shroom Chamber for iPhone
A native iPhone app for chambers running Terra Firmware. It shows live temperature, humidity and the camera, and gives you every control over your own Wi-Fi.
Beta -
TS-01 teardown notes
Pin map, GPIO map, the camera-board protocol, and the stock grow logic, decoded from a verified flash backup. The public reference for anyone else poking at one.

How I work
Back up first, always. Every unit I touch gets a full flash dump, read twice and compared, before anything is written. I never burn eFuses.
Safety stays on the device. Heater cut-offs and lockouts run on the chip, not in an app or a cloud.
Why sign in for downloads?
So I can email you when there's a fix, especially a safety fix. These chambers have a heater and a UV-C lamp, and I want a way to reach the people running my code.
I only store your email. Nothing is sold or shared, and you can turn the emails off. Details.
All of this is free. If it saved your chamber, a coffee keeps the bench lights on.
